1. An average adult heart beats 100,000 (1 lakh) times a day at a rate of 72times a minute.
2. Heart is about the size of your clenched fist, which begins to beat at 4weeks after conception and never stops during the person's lifetime.

BLOOD

1. Blood goes round the entire body in about a minute or about 1500times in a day.
2. On average, a newborn baby has about one cup of blood in his body while the adult has about 5 litres of blood.
3. Each blood drop contains about 5 million red blood cells.
4. There are 4 main blood groups(A, B, AB, O).
5. Donated blood-kept at a refrigerated-temperature lasts for about 6 weeks.

EYES
1. An adult eyeball is about the size of a golf ball but most part of it is hidden in the head.
2. Newborns do not produce tears. They make crying sounds but the tears do not start flowing until about 4-12 weeks old.
3. We blink to clean and protect our eyes.
4. Our eye lashes protect our eyes by stopping dirt and dust.
